Introduction

POETTS expects that you will apply for accreditation within 2 years of completing your accredited course. If there are any reasons why you’ve not been able to complete the required testing within this timeframe, please include further details when emailing the accreditation team.

To start your application, please either download the paperwork below or contact the Accreditation team via email at accreditation@poetts.co.uk to receive the paperwork you need to complete.

How to apply

For new practitioners, you must:

  • Provide evidence of having attended an accredited CPET course (a course certificate). Currently the only accredited CPET course is the POETTS course run twice a year by EBPOM.
  • Independently perform a minimum of 25 CPET tests with evidence in logbook
  • Report a minimum of 50 pre-operative CPETs under supervision of an POETTS accredited member
  • Complete and have (wet ink or electronic signature) sign off Paperwork by POETTS accredited member with evidence of the above

CPET Courses

Currently the only accredited CPET course is the POETTS course run twice a year by EBPOM.

If you have attended another CPET course, you will need to provide evidence of the following so a member of the POETTS accreditation team can ensure that the information and teaching provided is acceptable.

Please submit (along with the above paperwork):

  • An agenda for the course provided
  • Faculty list
  • A certificate of attendance

Once you have all this information, please email the above paperwork to accreditation@poetts.co.uk for validation and to receive certificate

Your application will not be processed until you have provided all the documentation listed above.

Current turnaround time for prospective accreditation is 30 days.


Step by Step Accreditation Process

1. Download the above paperwork to complete. If you are experiencing issues accessing the paperwork please contact the Accreditation team via email accreditation@poetts.co.uk to receive the paperwork you need to complete.

2. Complete both the sign off sheet and CPET log

3. Return the completed paperwork, along with a copy of your CPET course certificate to the Accreditation team via email accreditation@poetts.co.uk Please note, any incomplete/missing paperwork will be returned to you

4. The Accreditation team will review your paperwork for validation to receive certificate. They will let you know if there are any queries.

5. The Accreditation team will issue a certificate (if no issues found) within 30 days.
