About the course

This is an enhanced iPOETTS course with an additional day of content, which includes teaching on CPET in important perioperative co-morbidities, including heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, respiratory disease, as well as paediatric CPET.

The above will be combined with interpretation practice in small group tutorials.

Abstract Competition

Alongside the above course, we are also running the annual abstract competition. Researchers of any age may participate in the abstract competition. To be eligible for inclusion, an author must be registered to attend the course.

Field of Research:
Abstracts must address topics related to Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing. Abstracts submitted for consideration must be an original idea, concept, or an improvement or revision of a previous idea. Submissions are peer-reviewed for scientific content, logical presentation, and current interest of the topic to the scientific community.

Topics may include but not limited to:

  • Clinical applications of CPET.
  • New methodologies or technologies in CPET.
  • Innovative research in exercise physiology.
  • CPET in specific populations (e.g., paediatrics, heart failure, athletes).
  • Novel insights into interpreting CPET data.
